Annual Career Day Workshop

Mercy College’s STEP and CSTEP have been working collaboratively with our communities to spread awareness of STEM related fields and foster future leaders.

Mercy College’s STEP, CSTEP and Upward Bound hosted their annual Career Day workshop on February 2, 2013. The event highlighted 16 professionals ranging from Nurses, Lawyers, Physician Assistants and Entrepreneurs. Student got the opportunity to dialog with the professionals in small groups where they were able to ask questions about the professionals’ day to day tasks. A panel discussion was also incorporated and allowed for students expand upon their conversations in the small group. Overall there were over 120 students from middle, high college aged students attending the event. Students walked away from this event with more knowledge about various professions within STEM related fields.
