College STEP Scholars Attended the Inaugural Project Fibonacci
STEAM Conference

Several Mohawk Valley Community College
STEP scholars attended the inaugural Project Fibonacci STEAM
Conference held in Rome, NY this past August. Dr. Brian Greene,
Professor of Physics and Mathematics at Columbia University
and co-founder of The World Science Festival, encouraged students
to study and explore the universe of Physics with his inspirational
talk “Beyond Einstein: Space, Time and Reality”.
Other speakers included Alan Bean, the fourth man to walk
on the moon, and Alan Alda, famous author, actor and founder
of Stony Brooke University's Alan Alda’s Center for
Communicating Science. STEP student Sar See Moo was recognized
for her entrepreneurial accomplishments and establishing her
own company, Moolo, which sells custom made holographic projectors.
