Mohawk Valley Community College CSTEP Welcomed Two New Employees

August 2015

Mohawk Valley Community College CSTEP welcomed two new employees this past year. In addition to bringing a wealth of experience and enthusiasm, both are CSTEP alumni!

Mr. Jean Leandre was recently named Director of Student Engagement and Outreach and will serve as the C/STEP Director. Jean earned his Associate’s Degree in Business Management from MVCC, his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from SUNYIT, and his Master’s and Education Specialist Degree from Liberty University in Virginia. Jean previously worked as the Associate Director of Student Affairs at the Bronx Educational Opportunity Center as part of Bronx Community College, and as a Case Manager and Adjunct High-School Equivalency Instructor at the SUNY North Bronx Career Counseling and Outreach Center.

Mr. Carlos Pulquerio was appointed CSTEP Project Assistant in August 2015. Carlos graduated from MVCC in 2013; his MVCC accolades include serving as the President of Student Congress and receiving the SUNYChancellor’s Award for Student Excellence. He went on to earn his B.S. from Cornell University and was employed by the Financial Management Group of Cornell prior to his CSTEP appointment.
