STEP Application Process & Eligibility
There are more than fifty STEP Programs housed at institutions of higher education and/or professional schools across New York State. Admission to a STEP program is competitive and requires students to participate in an application process. Please refer to the listing of STEP programs by region (on the left) to locate a program near you where you may find additional information.

*Economic eligibility guidelines are determined by the state of New York. Students who are not underrepresented (e.g., Black/African American, Hispanic/Latino, Alaskan Native, or American Indian) must meet these income guidelines. Please click here for an economic eligibility chart.
